I love mason jars and inexpensive DIY decorating so I spruced up some jars and thrift store finds in some fun and creative… most of all easy ways!
If you make any of my projects and want to share, add them to my facebook page! I would love to see what you are inspired to make!
Directions for these Jars/Vases:
I used high gloss white spray paint on this basic clear glass vase I had in my cupboard. Make sure you always spray paint in a well ventilated area and use caution. Use short and even bursts of paint to get an even coat and avoid drips.
Grey “Joy” Vase
I used a hot glue to write the word “Joy” on this smooth Ball jar I bought at Target. Other words could be, love, peace, dance, believe, etc.
Once the hot glue is dry, in short bursts and an even coat spray paint the jar. Again, be sure to do this in a well ventilated area, protecting your surfaces from over spray. The paint I used was Winter Grey. It may be best to do several thin coats to get the best coverage.

Metallic Garland Vase
I bought an acrylic cup and a $2 metallic ball garland from Target. Use the hot glue and attach the garland well along the bottom of the cup. If there are any droopy spots add more glue. Twirl the cup and glue the garland along the cup as you go. Be sure to glue the garland well along the top of the cup. Use scissors to cut the garland and glue the end to create a clean finish.
